Alchemist Restaurant
New York Room

In collaboration with head chef, Rasmus Munk, we developed a landscape concept for his New York Room that evoked Central Park through the use of one material – granite. We developed an installation design where 2 pieces of granite, weighing about 3 tons each, were the fundament of the room, with smaller plants and trees surrounding. The objective was for guests to touch and engage with the granite as they do in Central Park. Strangely enough, Bornholm consists of the same granite as Manhattan, so we worked with Zurface to source and picked the best pieces for Alchemist.
